RT-1 Southbound (TOBIN BRIDGE):

  • After crossing Tobin, stay to your right.
  • Exit to right at the 1st exit after bridge (Charlestown)
  • Stay to the right as you approach split traffic light, but be in the LEFT
       LANE of the right hand turn!
  • Cross over to the left hand lane and take your next left onto Chelsea Street at stop light
  • Follow directions below for C-Town

I-93 North:

  • Enter “Big Dig” under the city and stay to your right.
  • Exit Government Center Exit
  • Stay to your right as you come out of tunnel (North End/Charlestown)
  • At that first light, turn left
  • Go through a few lights (don’t re-enter I-93 to your left!) and head toward the Charlestown Bridge  
  • Stay to your right as you cross bridge and take your first right at light onto Chelsea Street.
  • Follow directions shown below for C-Town

I-93 South:

  • Exit Charlestown Exit
  • Follow road parallel to highway
  • At rotary, follow signs toward Charlestown/North End (New Rutherford Ave.)
  • At second light on New Rutherford Ave., turn left onto Chelsea Street (DON’T CROSS OVER CHARLESTOWN BRIDGE INTO NORTH END!)
  • Follow directions below for C-Town

C-TOWN:

  • From New Rutherford Avenue, just north of the Charlestown Bridge, turn onto
  • Chelsea Street at light
  • Go through two stoplights
  • At 3rd light, turn right onto 5th Street
  • At stop sign, turn left onto 1st Avenue (Navy Yard immediately on your right)
  • Follow 1st Avenue almost to end
  • The last street before the end is 13th Street (pier 8)
  • This is where the marina is, but there is no parking on 13th Street.  Park nearby along 1st street, but be mindful of resident only spots!  Call me if you can’t find parking (203-981-0360).  There are parking lots nearby for a fee.

WE MEET IN FRONT OF THE MARINA OFFICE AT THE END OF PIER 8 BEFORE WALKING DOWN TO BOATS.  We start promptly so allow plenty of time to find parking.  Being late will disrupt class as there is a gate I must open for you to get onto docks.
